Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of Qingyouyangwei Capsules combined with triple therapy in treatment of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) associated gastritis. Methods: A total of 108 patients with Hp infection, which was detected by antral biopsy mucosa through endoscopy or rapid urease test, were randomly divided into two groups: the therapy group of Qingyouyangwei Capsules combined with triple therapy and the control group of triple therapy. At least 4 weeks after the end of treatment, two groups were compared in terms of the eradication rate of Hp. Results: The eradication rate was 90.74% in therapy group and 75.47% in control group, there was statistical difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The rate of clinical efficacy was 96.30% in therapy group and 83.02% in control group, there was statistical difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Except for adverse effects of antibiotic in two groups, there was only one patient complaining with mild abdominal pain and diarrhea. The symptoms improved after the end of treatment. Conclusion: Qingyouyangwei Capsules combined with triple therapy can significantly improve the eradication rate of Hp and remission rate of symptoms. It has safety and definite clinical efficacy.
