Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect of problem-solving nursing mode on self-perceived burden, hope level, and coping style of patients with hip arthroplasty. Methods: A total of 160 patients with hip arthroplasty admitted to the Department of Orthopedics in Yantai Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University from July 2018 to June 2020 were selected as research subjects. The patients were divided into a control group (n=80) and an observation group (n=80) by random number table method. The self-perceived burden [Self-Perceived Burden Scale (SPBS)], hope level (Herth Hope Scale), coping style [medical coping style questionnaire (MC-MQ)], hip joint function (Harris Hip Score Scale), and quality of life (Barthel Index Scale) were compared between the 2 groups before and after nursing. Results: After nursing, the SPBS score in the observation group decreased more significantly than that in the control group (P<0.05). The scores and total scores of each subscale of Herth Hope Scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05). The face score of MC-MQ scale in the observation group increased more significantly than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the avoidance and yield score decreased more significantly than that in the control group (P<0.05). The Harris hip joint function score and Barthel index in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of problem solving nursing mode can significantly reduce the self-perceived burden of patients with hip replacement, improve the hope level and confidence of patients, and improve the coping style, so as to promote the recovery of hip joint function and improve the quality of life of patients.
