Abstract
Objective: To explore the application of chronic disease management model based on multidisciplinary cooperation in patients with endometriosis. Methods: A total of 172 patients with endometriosis who received surgical treatment at the Department of Gynecology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and a study group. Patients in the control group received routine treatment and nursing care, whereas patients in the study group received nursing of chronic disease management model based on multidisciplinary cooperation. The basic data of the patients were collected, and the patients were followed up after treatment for 6 months. The short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) was used to assess the level of pain, and the Chinese version of World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Scale (WHOQOL-BREF) was used to assess the quality of life. The level of pain and the quality of life of patients were compared before and 6 months after treatment. The satisfaction levels of the 2 groups were assessed and compared 6 months after treatment. Results: Six months after treatment, the Pain Rating Index (PRI) scores, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores and Present Pain Intensity (PPI) scores in both groups were significantly reduced. The PRI scores [(18.22±3.13) vs (24.63±3.24), P<0.001], VAS scores [(2.19±0.54) vs (3.23±0.65), P<0.001] and PPI scores [(2.46±0.66) vs (3.78±0.75), P<0.001] in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group. After treatment, the quality of life in both groups was significantly improved (P<0.001), and patients in the study group had significantly higher scores than those in the control group [(86.93±5.37) vs (76.52±5.43), P<0.001]. Patients in the study group had a higher proportion of satisfaction than those in the control group. Conclusion: The application of chronic disease management model based on multidisciplinary cooperation can effectively reduce the pain level and improve the quality of life and satisfaction levels in patients with endometriosis.
