Abstract

Objective: To explore the efficacy of task-oriented conventional swallowing training in patients with dysphagia after cerebellopontine angle tumor surgery. Methods: A total of 88 patients with dysphagia after cerebellopontine angle tumor surgery admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected and divided into two groups using a random number table, with 44 cases in each group. The control group received routine swallowing training, and the observation group combined task-oriented training on this basis. The efficacy, improvement of swallowing function before and after training, and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); the degree of swallowing dysfunction in the observation group after 1 month of training was lighter than that of the control group (P<0.05); the VFSS score of the observation group was higher than the control group after 1 month of training (P<0.05); the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Task-oriented combined with conventional swallowing training is effective in patients with dysphagia after cerebellopontine angle tumor surgery, which can improve swallowing function and reduce complications.
