摘要

PR结构域蛋白16(PR domain-containing 16，PRDM16)(PRD1-BF-1-RIZ1结构域同源蛋白16)是PRDM基因家族成员之一，除了参与白血病发病过程，还与发育异常相关。此外，PRDM16还参与多种干细胞(如神经干细胞、造血干细胞)的分化调控。大量文献研究表明PRDM16是调控棕色脂肪(brown adipose tissue，BAT)形成的开关基因。

Abstract

PR domain containing 16 (PRDM16) is a member of the PR domain-containing protein family and is associated with various diseases including leukocythemia and developmental abnormalities. Moreover, PRDM16 has also been shown to be critical for the development of hematopoietic stem cell and hematopoiesis. Recent evidence proves that PRDM16 is the key gene controlling formation of brown/beige adipose tissue formation.
