褪黑素对糖尿病神经系统并发症保护作用及机制的研究进展

摘要
褪黑素是大脑松果体腺、视交叉上核(suprachiasmatic nucleus,SNC)及周围组织合成分泌的一种吲哚类神经内分泌激素,具有抗氧化、抗炎、抗凋亡、阻滞钙离子通道和镇痛等广泛的生物学作用。近年来研究发现,褪黑素对糖尿病等代谢性疾病并发神经系统病变具有一定保护作用。本文就褪黑素对糖尿病神经系统并发症的保护作用及其机制研究进展做简要综述。

Protective effects and mechanisms of melatonin in diabetes nerve complications

Abstract
Melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine), a natural hormone secreted by the pineal gland, the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SNC) and the surrounding tissue, has extensive biological functions, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiapoptosis, blocking calcium ion channels and analgesic. In recent years, the research reports that melatonin has certain protective effects on neurological complications induced by metabolic diseases, like diabetes. The present review summarizes the research progress the protective effects and mechanisms of melatonin in neurological complications of diabetes.
