Abstract
Coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) is one of fatal disease that threatens human health, and in-depth study of its pathological mechanism is important for its diagnosis and treatment. Non-coding RNA (ncRNA) plays an important role in the development of CHD, and competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) exposes the key role of ncRNA in CHD. Various ncRNA, pseudogenes, and viral transcripts as ceRNAs are involved in the pathological processes of vascular endothelial injury and repair, vascular neogenesis, lipid metabolism, extracellular matrix degradation, inflammatory response, cellular senescence, and oxidative stress damage in CHD. In addition, some ncRNAs have diagnostic and therapeutic roles. In-depth study of the key role of ceRNA regulatory mechanisms in CHD has an important reference value for the study of pathological mechanisms, early diagnosis, and targeted drug development in CHD.
