Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of surgical resection combined with negative pressure drainage (VSD) for treatment of gout stone combined infection. Methods: Retrospective analysis of treated in our hospital 80 cases of surgery treatment of gout diagnosed stone with infected with clinical effect, observation group (44 cases) underwent resection of tophi + vacuum closed drainage in the treatment, control group (37 cases) to take a simple surgical treatment, two groups of patients were given anti infection and other conventional treatment, observation and compared between the two groups before and after treatment in patients with joint pain, swelling and other symptoms score changes, after treatment the clinical curative effect. Results: Postoperative 1 week, 1 month of two groups of patients with joint pain, joint swelling, joint tenderness, joint activities limited score compared with the preoperative were significantly decreased (P<0.05) and postoperative 1 week, 1 month observation in joint pain, joint swelling, joint tenderness, joint activities limited score were significantly lower than the same period in the control group (P<0.05). Postoperative 1 months of two groups of patients with SUA, ESR, CRP levels compared with the preoperative were significantly decreased (P<0.05). Postoperative 1 month observation in SUA, ESR, CRP levels were significantly lower than the same period in the control group (P<0.05). Observation group patients after 1 month to cure the patient of 37 cases, improvement in 6 cases, 24 cases were cured, improved in 13 cases in the control group. The observation group cure rate (86.05%) was significantly higher than the control group (64.84%) (χ2=3.794, P=0.046<0.05). Conclusion: The surgical resection combined with VSD technology can improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients with gout stone combined with infection, reduce the body uric acid load, and help patients recover the joint function.
