摘要

目前,脑卒中已经成为中国人致死、致残的首位原因,而缺血性脑卒中(ischemic stroke,IS)占70%~80%。尽管我国IS的防治已经取得很大的进步,但是其发病率和致残率仍然较高。因此需要进一步寻找预防与治疗IS的新靶点。胆红素以往被认为是一种有毒的代谢废物,近年来的研究发现,胆红素是人体最有效的抗氧化、抗炎和神经保护分子之一。

Abstract

At present, stroke has become the leading cause of death and disability in China, in which ischemic stroke (IS) accounts for 70%–80%. Even if great progress has been made in the prevention and treatment of IS in China, the morbidity and disability rate are still high. Therefore, it is necessary to further seek new targets for the prevention and treatment of the disease. Bilirubin was once considered as a toxic metabolic waste, while recent studies have found that bilirubin is one of the most effective antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective molecules in human body.
