Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical effects of electrical stimulation biofeedback combined with pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) intervention on improving urinary incontinence in patients with postpartum urinary retention. Methods: A total of 124 patients with postpartum urinary retention admitted from June 2019 to June 2020 were selected and randomly assigned into two groups, with 62 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional intervention and the observation group was given electrical stimulation biofeedback combined with PFMT intervention. The clinical efficacy, urethral pain degree, bladder function, and improvement of pelvic floor muscle strength were compared between the two groups. Results: The clinical efficacy of the observation group after intervention was better than that of the control group (P<0.05), the degree of urethral pain in the observation group was lighter than that of the control group (P<0.05), the bladder function of the observation group was higher than that of the control group after intervention (P<0.05), and the improvement of pelvic floor muscle strength in the observation group after intervention was better than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The use of electrical stimulation biofeedback combined with PFMT intervention in patients with postpartum urinary retention can improve its clinical efficacy, relieve urethral pain, and significantly enhance bladder function and improve pelvic floor muscle strength.
