摘要

1型糖尿病(type 1 diabetes mellitus,T1DM)是儿童和青少年中的一种常见慢性疾病,其主要特点是 胰岛β细胞显著减少,胰岛素分泌不足,血糖升高,且容易引起一系列并发症,需要终身注射外源 性胰岛素。在T1DM患者的胰岛细胞和血液中发现肠道病毒(enteroviruses,EV)及其相关蛋白质, 提示EV感染与β细胞损伤密切相关,特别是柯萨奇B组4型病毒(coxsackievirus B4,CVB4)。目前, 主流观点认为EV引起自身免疫反应导致胰岛β细胞死亡而致T1DM的发生,但EV引起胰岛β细胞损 伤和死亡的机制尚未明确。

Abstract

Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is one of the most common chronic diseases in childhood and adolescents, the main feature of which is the destruction of the insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells and the subsequent loss of insulin, and the accumulation of glucose in the blood; resulting in the late development of vascular and neuropathic complication, and consequently, patients with T1DM remain insulin-dependent for their lifespan. Enteroviral RNA and proteins has been detected in the blood of T1DM patients and serological analysis confirmed a link between enteroviral infection and T1DM, particularly for the coxsackievirus B4 (CVB4) serotype. It’s unknown, however, that potential mechanisms by which enteroviruses could contribute to the specific destruction of pancreatic β cells in T1DM.
