The effect evaluation of minoxidil tincture of joint compound glycyrrhizic on alopecia areata and the influence on serum TNF-α, TGF-β1 and of IL–12
Objective: To evaluate therapeutic effect of minoxidil tincture of joint compound glycyrrhizic on alopecia areata and the influence on the serum TNF-α, TGF-β1 and IL-12. Methods: A total of 658 cases with alopecia areata were selected from May 2011 to January 2014 for retrospective study, and randomly divided into research group (55 cases) and control group (55 cases) using the random number table method. The research group was given minoxidil tincture joint compound glycyrrhizin, and the control group was given compound glycyrrhizin tablets, being treated for 3 months. Observe the SALT score before and after treatment serum TNF-α TGF-β1 and IL-2 levels were observed, the curative effect were evaluated. Results: After treatment the total effective rate of control group was significantly lower than the research group, the differences between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2=8.565, P=8.565). The SALT score of two groups were significantly lower after treatment (P=0.000), but the score of the research group were obviously lower than the control group (P=0.000). After treatment the level of TNF-α and TGF-β1 of control group was significantly higher than the research group, and the level of TGF-β1 was significantly lower than the research group (P=0.035, 0.006, 0.000); The levels of TNF-α and IL-12 of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower, and the level of TGF-β1 increased significantly (P<0.05); There were no significant difference in the adverse reaction of two groups. Conclusion: The minoxidil tincture of joint compound glycyrrhizic on treating alopecia areata is safe and effective, the serum levels of cytokines of the patients, improves hair growth and is worth clinical promotion.
