Both cardiovascular diseases and cancers are main causes of human death. With the rapid development of modality for anticancer, more and more cancer therapy associated cardiovascular complication occurred and cause the increasing concerns by the oncologists and cardiologists. The cytotoxic and molecular targeted drugs, radiation are the three cornerstones of anticancer therapy. All vascular system, which results in various cancer treatment related cardiovascular toxicities. But there is a rather knowledge gap between the oncologists and cardiologists, which suggest a need for cardio-oncology (or onco-cardiology). With this novel multidisciplinary platform, the clinicians and scientists can promote this problem with clinical complexity further improvement by determining the best treatment strategies, helping to recognize, detect, treat, prevent, and predict the risk of anticancer therapy associated cardiovascular toxicities.
